Jamaa Letu Girl’s Orphanage:
The Jamaa Letu Girl’s Orphanage is located in the Ruashi district of Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. The orphanage was funded by the Hope for the Children of Africa Task Force, and developed and built through the United Methodist Volunteers In Mission. The girl’s orphanage houses up to 60 girls ranging in age from infant to 16 years old, and caregivers. All children are healthy and have regular medical exams. Most of the children were abandoned or lost their parents through civil unrest or illness.

Jamaa Letu Boy’s Orphanage:
The current Jamaa Letu Boy’s Orphanage is located in Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. The orphanage is an external building in the Jerusalem church complex and was the site of the first Girl’s Orphanage. The current boy’s orphanage houses over 20 boys ranging in age from 2 to 16 years old. All children are healthy and have regular medical exams. Most of the children were abandoned or lost their parents through civil unrest or illness.

New — Jamaa Letu Boy’s Orphanage (June 2009):
The NEW Jamaa Letu Boy’s Orphanage is located in the Kampebeno district of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo. The orphanage facility is currently under construction; when finished it will house over 60 boys ranging in age from infant to 16 years old, as well as caregivers.

Hope for the Children Orphanage:
The Hope for the Children Orphanage is located in the outskirts of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The orphanage houses approximately 45 boys and girls ranging in age from 2 to 16 years old. Most of the children were abandoned or lost their parents through civil unrest or illness. This orphanage is sponsored by the Christ the King Catholic Church of Portland, Oregon.
